Shade seats are called Sombra in Spanish. These are the most sought after seats, not just because you get out of the afternoon sun, but they are also opposite the Sol (sun) seats where the Peñas (social clubs) celebrate with bands and foodfights. If you choose to sit in a Sombra section, please be aware that you’ll be surrounded by serious Taurinos (bullfighting fans) who will expect you to remain quiet during each Matador’s performance. Book Sombra Pamplona Bullfight tickets.
Sun seats are called Sol in Spanish. These are on the Northeast side of the Plaza de Toros that gets the full afternoon sun. Many of the Sol (sun) seats are also occupied by the Peñas (social clubs) who party the entire bullfight with bands, shouting and food fights. Be prepared to join whether you want to or not. These tickets are not currently available. Please consider the best alternative and book Sombra Pamplona Bullfight tickets.
Since the bullfights last from 6:30 to 8:30pm the sun is slowly setting in the West. Sol y Sombra seats start out in the Sol (sun) and end up in the Sombra (shade). This is a good way to take in the bullfights, save some money, but not sit in the sun all evening. The Sol (sun) section also plays host to the Peñas (social clubs) who party the entire time with bands, shouting and food fights. If you don’t want to join in, we suggest choosing Sol y Sombra (partial sun) or Sombra (shade). These tickets are not currently available. Instead, we recommend booking Sombra Bullfight tickets.
